We started this pruning journey with the article “Theory of pruning plants<\/a><\/span>“. We learned important things about how to organize work. We then continued the journey with the article “Exceptions in pruning plants<\/a><\/span>” where we clarified the question of when to prune in relation to the type of branch on which the flowers form even if this is not the only question important. In fact, we had to insert the type of pruning almost plant by plant. Now we know that it is not easy to deal with pruning and we lack some practical indications.<\/p>\n Basically, as a general theory applied to practice, we can say that we need to distinguish between the pruning done for the purpose of flowering and that linked to the management of the plant. In fact, pruning linked to flowering is often done at the end of flowering or before the spring regrowth while the old, weak or disharmonious branches (those to understand us that intersect the interior passing from one side to another or go in the exact same direction of a other branch) must be eliminated in any case when the plant is at rest.<\/p>\n In this article we will mainly talk about pruning shrubs. The reason is because the gardens that we will personally take care of are mainly medium-small. It’s unlikely that for a large garden there isn’t a gardener who takes care of everything. Furthermore, pruning a tree is a matter that must necessarily be entrusted to a professional. In this case, to decide which of the two to cut, observe them and keep the one that allows the plant to maintain a harmonious shape. Then the weak branches must be eliminated, those too thin also and above all inside the plant. Non-remontant sarmentose roses are pruned by cutting the oldest branches in the summer at the end of flowering. The branches that occupy the central part of the bush and those that arise from buds located on the rootstock must be cut. Abbiamo imparato cose importanti riguardo a come organizzare il lavoro. Abbiamo poi proseguito il percorso con l\u2019articolo \u201cLa potatura delle piante in giardino: Le Piante<\/a><\/span>\u201d dove abbiamo chiarito la questione di quando si pota in relazione al tipo di ramo su cui si formano i fiori anche se questo non \u00e8 l\u2019unica questione importante. Abbiamo infatti dovuto inserire il tipo di potatura quasi pianta per pianta. Ora sappiamo che non \u00e8 facile avere a che fare con la potatura e ci manca qualche indicazione pratica.<\/p>\r\n Tendenzialmente, come teoria generale applicata alla pratica possiamo dire che bisogna distinguere tra la potatura fatta al fine delle fioriture e quella legata alla gestione della pianta.<\/p>\r\n La potatura legata alla fioritura spesso si fa alla fine della fioritura o prima del ricaccio primaverile mentre i rami vecchi, deboli o disarmonici (quelli per capirci che intersecano l\u2019interno passando da una parte all\u2019altra o vanno nella stessa identica direzione di un altro ramo) vanno eliminati comunque quando la pianta \u00e8 a riposo.<\/p>\r\n \u00a0<\/p>\r\n In questo articolo parleremo soprattutto di potatura degli arbusti. Il motivo \u00e8 perch\u00e9 i giardini di cui ci prenderemo cura personalmente sono soprattutto medio-piccoli.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n Difficile che per un giardino grande non ci sia un giardiniere che si occupa di tutto. Inoltre potare un albero \u00e8 una questione che va obbligatoriamente demandata ad un professionista. In questo caso per decidere quale dei due tagliare osservateli e tenete quello che permette alla pianta di mantenere una forma armonica. Poi vanno eliminate le branche deboli, quelle troppo sottili anche e soprattutto all\u2019interno della pianta. In genere, vengono piantati pi\u00f9 elementi di quelli necessari perch\u00e9 la siepe raggiunga prima i suoi scopi. L\u2019ortensia comune\u00a0(Hydrangea macrophylla) fiorisce sui rami di due anni; se li potate in primavera tagliate via tutti i boccioli. Bisogna rimuovere qualche ramo vecchio in primavera e lasciare intatti i rami giovani. Potete anche eliminare le infiorescenze vecchie.<\/p>\r\n L\u2019ortensia a pannocchia\u00a0(Hydrangea paniculata) e la famosa Hydrangea arborescens \u2018Annabelle\u2019 sono sottoposte a una potatura drastica (fino a 25 centimetri) in primavera (marzo), visto che fioriscono sui rami di un anno. Il diametro del ramo che viene mantenuto deve essere pari ad almeno 1\/3 (meglio \u00bd) del diametro del ramo che viene rimosso.<\/p>\r\n Se il ramo da tagliare \u00e8 troppo grande rispetto a quello da mantenere non \u00e8 possibile eseguire il taglio di ritorno (C).<\/p>\r\n Accorcia una branca in corrispondenza di una ramificazione laterale del diametro non inferiore ad un terzo (potare in corrispondenza di una branca laterale non sufficientemente sviluppata pu\u00f2 provocare disseccamenti, oppure l\u2019emissione profusa di getti epicormici). Occorre evitare di tagliare entro il tessuto della branca di ordine superiore.
