Allegories and wonders of the eastern gardens: I always love to read about the gardens of the East.<\/h2>\n

It will be a professional twist, but learning something new about gardens or reading even just new thoughts on familiar topics inspires me for a lot of new actions.<\/p>\n

This book has been and is a source of amazing daydreams. Written beautifully in fluid and evocative Italian, it accompanies you in an exciting historical excursus.<\/p>\n

Oriental gardens such as Arabs, Syrians, Egyptians, Persians, Indians, Chinese and Japanese,<\/strong> the allegories, the beliefs, the philosophy behind the projects of the most beautiful gardens told by travelers such as Marco Polo with THE MILLION, Bonaparte with DESCRIPTION OF ANCIENT EGYPT or the team of Ebers, Lef\u00e9vre, Gregorius, Delattre etc. with THE WONDERS OF CIVILIZATION OF THE PAST.<\/p>\n

One feels the urge to study automata, reproduce them and, if possible, visit the survivors inserted in gardens all over Europe<\/strong> from books lost over time, perhaps looking for their projects.<\/p>\n

Reading this book is also difficult because you constantly run into topics you want to know more about<\/h2>\n

In fact, the book is full of ideas which, although assembled in a linear and pleasant speech, lead you from time to time on cognitive paths of culture, but also of oneself that one cannot but follow.<\/p>\n

You want to look for the plans of Kew Gardens – which we will discuss in the article “Kew Gardens: Drawings<\/a><\/span>” – as well as read Marsilio Ficino’s “De Triplici Vita” which has little to do with gardens, but a lot with magic. Or find the scientific name of the Sycamore – Ficus sycomorus plant with which the sarcophagi were built – considered magical and sacred.<\/p>\n

In this book there is a great ability to tell huge topics just by citing them. You won’t be able to know all the topics from root to tip, but you will have the tools to access them and place them in the fullest context of the story.<\/p>\n

In fact, the writer manages to fly lightly among the stories of writers, historians, travelers, kings and designers without ever losing the thread of her own narrative and without weighing down the pages.<\/p>\n

You do not realize that you have already finished the book that you want to start over to explore new paths and I assure you that it happens.<\/p>\n

Books that make you want to buy<\/h5>\n

Only until now that I wrote this article I bought “The Wonders of the Civilizations of the Past” and “Description of Egypt – Published by order of Napoleon Bonaparte” to go and read the quoted parts at the source and maybe new descriptions of gardens not shown in the book. Go ahead so I will have to seriously make room in an already suffering library.<\/p>\n

When you read about Egyptian gardens<\/strong> you would like to find their plans to memorize their philosophy and creative processes as well as tricks, perhaps not previously noted.<\/p>\n

This book also allowed me to discover that an Egyptian garden<\/strong>, reproduced by me half a point many years ago, was actually a funerary garden … oh well.<\/p>\n

When, reading about the gardens built during the Ottoman domination<\/strong>, you discover that two are still existing and can be visited, you begin to think about how to go there.<\/p>\n

The images from the book<\/h5>\n

Each chapter also contains images, in black and white, of oriental gardens referred to in the text, thus allowing you to view the stories described and giving an idea of \u200b\u200bwhat you meant, but also allowing you to explore the considered topic in a more conscious way on the internet the argoment more interesting.<\/p>\n

Just by reading and looking at the images of the book I also deepened some (many) topics on the web and the images that I insert here are some small insights of which we will certainly write other articles in the future.<\/p>\n

It is not a reading: it is an experience.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Sar\u00e0 una deformazione professionale, ma imparare qualcosa di nuovo sui giardini o leggere anche solo nuove considerazioni su argomenti conosciuti mi ispira per un sacco di nuove azioni.<\/p>

Questo libro \u00e8 stato ed \u00e8 una fonte di stupefacenti sogni ad occhi aperti. Scritto magnificamente in un italiano fluido ed evocativo accompagna in un excursus storico emozionante.<\/p>

Giardini d'Oriente come arabi, siriani, egiziani, persiani, indiani, cinesi e giapponesi,<\/strong> le allegorie, le credenze, la filosofia che sta dietro ai progetti dei pi\u00f9 bei giardini raccontati da viaggiatori come Marco Polo con IL MILIONE, Bonaparte con DESCRIZIONE DELL\u2019ANTICO EGITTO o il team di Ebers, Lef\u00e9vre, Gregorius, Delattre ecc con LE MERAVIGLIE DELLE CIVILTA\u2019 DEL PASSATO.<\/p>

Una visita da non perdere: <\/strong>A questo proposito esco dalla disquisizione del libro per consigliare la visita alla Villa Borromeo Visconti Litta a Lainate (MI) nella quale sono stati rimessi in funzione tutti i giochi e gli scherzi d\u2019acqua originari - con metodi moderni - ma potendo risalire ai disegni delle semovenze progettate all\u2019epoca.<\/p>

Leggere questo libro \u00e8 anche difficile perch\u00e9 si incorre continuamente in argomenti che si desidera approfondire<\/h2>

Il libro infatti \u00e8 ricco di spunti che, bench\u00e9 montati in un lineare e piacevole discorso, ti conducono di volta in volta su percorsi conoscitivi di cultura, ma anche di s\u00e9 stessi che non si possono non seguire.<\/p>

Si desidera cercare le planimetrie di Kew Gardens - di cui parleremo nell'articolo \"Kew Gardens: I Disegni<\/a><\/span>\" - come anche leggere il \"De Triplici Vita\" di Marsilio Ficino che poco c\u2019entra con i giardini, ma molto con la magia. Oppure ritrovare il nome scientifico del Sicomoro - Ficus sycomorus pianta con cui si costruivano i sarcofagi - considerato magico e sacro.<\/p>

In questo libro vi \u00e8 una grande capacit\u00e0 di raccontare enormi argomenti solo citandoli. Non potrete conoscere tutti gli argomenti dalla radice alla punta, ma avrete gli strumenti per accedervi e inserirli nel contesto pi\u00f9 completo della storia.<\/p>

La scrittrice infatti riesce a volare leggera tra le vicende di scrittori, storici, viaggiatori, re e progettisti senza mai perdere il filo della propria narrazione e senza appesantire le pagine.<\/p>

Non ci si accorge di aver gi\u00e0 finito il libro che si desidera ricominciarlo per approfondire nuovi percorsi e vi assicuro che capita.<\/p>

Solo fino ad ora che ho scritto questo articolo ho acquistato \"Le Meraviglie delle Civilt\u00e0 del Passato\" e \"Descrizione dell\u2019Egitto - Pubblicata per ordine di Napoleone Bonaparte\" per andare a leggere alla fonte le parti citate e magari nuove descrizioni di giardini non riportate nel libro. Avanti cos\u00ec dovr\u00f2 fare seriamente spazio in una libreria gi\u00e0 sofferente.<\/p>

Quando leggi dei giardini egiziani<\/strong> vorresti ritrovarne le planimetrie per memorizzarne filosofia e processi creativi oltre che trucchi, magari non rilevati in precedenza.<\/p>

Questo libro mi ha permesso inoltre di scoprire che un giardino egiziano<\/strong>, riprodotto da me a mezzo punto tanti anni fa, fosse in realt\u00e0 un giardino funerario\u2026eh vabb\u00e8.<\/p>

Quando, leggendo dei giardini costruiti durante la dominazione ottomana,<\/strong> scopri che due sono ancora esistenti e visitabili cominci a ragionare su come andarci.<\/p>

Ogni capitolo inoltre riporta immagini, in bianco e nero, di giardini orientali riferiti nel testo permettendo quindi di visualizzare i racconti descritti e dando un\u2019idea di cosa si volesse dire, ma anche permettervi di approfondire in modo pi\u00f9 consapevole su internet l\u2019argomento ritenuto pi\u00f9 interessante.<\/p>
