In this article we talk about Feng shui. Being a discipline born thousands of years ago, it is complex and interesting. It is a way of dealing with life and it also finds application in the design of offices, homes and gardens.<\/p>\n
It is true that on the internet there is not only a lot of information on this subject but also books and entire dedicated sites. As we often do here, we want to frame the topic allowing, hopefully, to give some indications on how to move in search of the in-depth analysis we want.<\/p>\n
As we said, feng shui is a discipline and as such it has a series of symbols and writings that explain it and also allow you to use it.<\/p>\n
Feng shui was born from Kian-yu, a previous discipline that knows and shapes “the shape of the territory based on the understanding of the ways of heaven and earth”.<\/p>\n
It seems possible to simplify by saying that they are all nonsense, but if I told you that geomancy is for “respect for the balance of the natural world and respect for the earth” what would you tell me? Beautiful. Credible. Possible.<\/p>\n
And then also astrology not as a study of the zodiac signs but as the position of the stars and planets and their influence on the forces of the earth (the concept of tides and their connection to lunar trends is a real fact).<\/p>\n
Feng shui comes from the Ba gua (complex diagram that we will resume below). This discipline maintains that, since the world must be in harmony, we too and the spaces in which we live, being part of the world, must be in harmony.<\/p>\n

Feng shui identifies in the “Chi<\/strong>” (read Qi<\/strong>) the universal energy that flows relentlessly outside and inside us. This energy moves freely and can be harnessed in some way. One can learn to harness it within our body to do a certain thing \u2013 lift something heavy, hit something or someone, etc. or you can make it move harmoniously in the places we live.<\/p>\n The word Feng Shui means water and wind<\/u> and clearly defines which natural forces most influenced the life of ancient populations, in this case the Chinese. Every place and every room has its own needs and every person who lives inside has their own specific preferences. Furthermore, each house or garden has its own location with respect to the land axes. The Ba Gua (literally “eight numbers”) is a representation of the universal forces on an octagonal base.<\/p>\n Bagua is also used in Taoism and martial arts. It is an octagon formed by 9 positions: a central one that represents the earth and contains the Tao and eight “trigrams” corresponding to the wind rose with the south, however, positioned at the top.<\/p>\n In a rather complete representation of this organization chart there are numbers, colors, elements and forces connected to them, for each section.<\/p>\n We speak of Yin and Yang at the center of the Bagua, just like in the tao. Yin and yang in nature exchange: one becomes the other but in a fluid way, by degrees, intermediate stages and nuances.<\/p>\n In fact, for feng shui a chi that moves too fast or too slowly, until it stops, is not good. The chi must flow with the right speed without encountering obstacles. Bringing harmony where it flows, it also brings harmony to the inhabitants of that place.<\/p>\n The Bagua helps those who read it to understand how to harmonize spaces through colors, shapes, numbers and elements.<\/p>\n For example, the bagua contains the perfect magic square where the 9 numbers entered, added together in a row, always give 15.<\/p>\n Above the numbers are the symbols of the I Ching (or Book of Changes) compiled in 1100 BC. and whose fragments were collected and brought to us by Confucius in 600 BC.<\/p>\n Come spesso facciamo qui desideriamo inquadrare l\u2019argomento permettendo, si spera, di dare qualche indicazione su come muoversi alla ricerca dell\u2019approfondimento che desideriamo.<\/p> Il Feng Shui come dicevamo \u00e8 una disciplina e come tale ha una serie di simboli e scritti che la spiegano ed anche permettono di utilizzarla.<\/p> Il Feng Shui nasce dal Kian-yu, disciplina precedente che conosce e plasma \u201cla forma del territorio basata sulla comprensione delle vie del cielo e della terra\u201d.<\/p> Stiamo parlando quindi di geomanzia, astrologia e taoismo. <\/strong><\/p> Sembra possibile semplificare dicendo che sono tutte baggianate, ma se vi dicessi che la geomanzia \u00e8 per \u201cil rispetto degli equilibri del mondo naturale ed il rispetto della terra\u201d cosa mi direste? Bello. Credibile. Possibile.<\/p> E poi anche l\u2019astrologia non come studio dei segni zodiacali, ma posizione delle stelle e dei pianeti e loro influenza sulle forze della terra (il concetto di maree ed il loro collegamento agli andamenti lunari \u00e8 un fatto reale).<\/p> Il Feng Shui nasce dal Ba gua (diagramma complesso che riprenderemo sotto). Questa energia si muove liberamente e pu\u00f2 essere in qualche modo imbrigliata. Si pu\u00f2 imparare ad imbrigliarla all\u2019interno del nostro corpo per fare una certa cosa \u2013 sollevare qualcosa di pesante, colpire qualcosa o qualcuno, ecc. oppure si pu\u00f2 fare in modo che si muova con armonia nei luoghi che viviamo.<\/p> La parola Feng Shui significa acqua e vento<\/u> e definisce chiaramente quali forze naturali influenzassero maggiormente la vita delle popolazioni antiche, in questo caso i cinesi. Ogni luogo ed ogni stanza ha le sue necessit\u00e0 ed ogni persona che vive all\u2019interno ha le sue specifiche preferenze.<\/p> Inoltre ogni abitazione o giardino ha la propria collocazione rispetto agli assi terresti. Il Ba Gua (letteralmente \u201cotto numeri\u201d) \u00e8 una rappresentazione delle forze universali su base ottagonale.<\/p> Il Bagua si usa anche nel taoismo e nelle arti marziali. \u00c8 un ottagono formato da 9 posizioni: una centrale che rappresenta la terra e contiene il tao e otto \u201ctrigrammi\u201d corrispondenti alla rosa dei venti con il sud, per\u00f2, posizionato in alto.<\/p> In una rappresentazione piuttosto completa di questo organigramma sono presenti i numeri, i colori, gli elementi e le forze a loro collegati, per ogni sezione.<\/p> Si parla di Yin e Yang al centro del Bagua, come appunto nel tao. Lo yin e lo yang in natura si scambiano: l\u2019uno diventa l\u2019altro ma in modo fluido, per gradi, stadi intermedi e sfumature.<\/p> Per il Feng Shui infatti un chi che si muove troppo velocemente o troppo lentamente, fino a fermarsi, non va bene. Il chi deve fluire con la giusta velocit\u00e0 senza incontrare ostacoli. Portando armonia dove fluisce porta armonia anche agli abitanti di quel luogo.<\/p> Il Bagua aiuta chi lo legge a capire come armonizzare gli spazi tramite appunto i colori, le forme, i numeri e gli elementi.<\/p> Per esempio il bagua contiene il quadrato magico perfetto dove i 9 numeri inseriti sommati in linea danno sempre 15.<\/p> Sopra ai numeri ci sono i simboli del I Ching (o libro dei mutamenti) compilato nel 1100 A.C. gi\u00e0 fare un controllo di come circola il chi nei vostri ambienti o fare qualche piccolo aggiustamento per migliorarne il fluire.<\/p> Insomma, facendo in modo che per ogni zona siano soddisfatte le necessit\u00e0 presenti sul Bagua, oltre ad un paio di regole ulteriori, si potrebbe ottenere un feng shui positivo nei luoghi che viviamo.<\/p> l\u2019arredamento rispetto alle richieste del Feng shui, per correggere eventuali nefaste influenze, bisogna utilizzare simboli.<\/p> Questi simboli o piccole modifiche di disposizione vengono descritti qui e l\u00e0 nei libri e su internet, come anche in corsi e seminari, quindi o vi fate una grande cultura in merito (per non sbagliare e peggiorare la situazione) o chiamate un architetto
