Si pu\u00f2 intervenire in caso se ne voglia contenere l\u2019esuberanza a fine inverno.<\/p>\r\n Dopo qualche anno si pu\u00f2 effettuare una potatura drastica (ma non arrivando sul legno) che favorir\u00e0 la nascita di nuovi fusti e render\u00e0 la pianta nel complesso pi\u00f9 ordinata.<\/p>\r\n Fu introdotta nel 1862 e fu la prima delle moderne clematidi ibride da giardino a fiore grande.<\/p>\r\n Si ritiene che il nome\u00a0Clematis\u00a0derivi da klemat\u00eds-\u00eddos\u00a0che significa pianta volubile simile alla vite. Anche nel resto d\u2019Europa si diffusero e prosperarono fino all\u2019arrivo di un fungo che le azzer\u00f2 fino agli anni \u201950 quano venne ripresa la coltivazione arrivando ai giorni nostri.
