It requires sunny exposure, moist subacid soil and little maintenance. It adapts well to the Italian climate. It propagates by cutting, seed or layering. Used to decorate pergolas and shrubs, it can be grown in pots or in the ground with precautions to protect the roots and stem.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ admin_label=”Scheda botanica” _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” collapsed=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row column_structure=”2_3,1_3″ _builder_version=”4.27.2″ _module_preset=”default” width=”100%” custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”2_3″ _builder_version=”4.27.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]

IDENTIFICATION

Scientific name:

Clematis jackmanii

Italian common name:

Clematis, Love Lace or Greybeard

Family:

Ranunculaceae

Origin:

Boreal Emisphere.

Environment:

temperate climates

Evergreen or deciduous:

deciduous

Toxicity:

not

PLANT RECOGNITION

Height:

3 – 3,5 m.

Width (extension):

being a creeper, the information is not useful.

Habit:

climbing or ground cover.

Leaf:

dark green, covered with thin light hair. Clematis is one of the oldest botanical names we know of, it dates back to the 1st century and was attributed to it by Dioscorides, over the following centuries it was maintained and finally confirmed by Linnaeus.

Clematis jackmanii: Notes

In the second half of the 1500s Elizabeth I began the cultivation of clematis viticella and they were also cultivated throughout Victorian England. They also spread and prospered in the rest of Europe until the arrival of a fungus which eliminated them until the 1950s when cultivation was resumed, reaching the present day. This will allow the plant to produce new roots and resist even major pruning.

It is recommended not to place the plants too close to a wall or a tree.

In the kitchen:

no use

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.27.2″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”0px||0px||true|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][dmg_masonry_gallery gallery=”6797,6795,6803,6793,6805,6801″ columns=”1″ gutter=”420″ zoom_hover=”on” images_size=”dmg_image_extra_large” hover_overlay_effect=”nothing” columns_tablet=”2″ columns_phone=”1″ columns_last_edited=”on|desktop” gutter_tablet=”20″ gutter_phone=”20″ gutter_last_edited=”on|desktop” module_class=”gallery-schede-botaniche” _builder_version=”4.27.3″ _module_preset=”default” title_text_align=”left” custom_margin=”||||false|false” custom_padding=”||||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][/dmg_masonry_gallery][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ admin_label=”Consiglio MDG” _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”30px||20px||false|false” custom_padding=”10px|20px|20px|20px|false|true” border_radii=”on|15px|15px|15px|15px” border_width_all=”4px” border_color_all=”#d5de75″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” width=”100%” custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.3″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

The mondo del giardino advice

Gertrude Jeckill suggests using it as a cover for those shrubs that lose their leaves in winter or mixed with roses to prolong the flowering of the flowerbed.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ admin_label=”Testo (100%)” _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” width=”100%” custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.3″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Now on horseback!
