Possibile la propagazione per la talea semi-legnosa da piante madri giovani (2-4 anni).<\/p>\r\n la malattia pi\u00f9 pericolosa per questa pianta \u00e8 rappresentata dal \"colpo di fuoco batterico\" ('Erwinia amylovora). L'infezione causa l'appassimento e la necrosi di germogli, fiori, foglie e frutti; sui rami provoca lacerazioni della corteccia (cancri).<\/p>\r\n si effettua in inverno, nel periodo di riposo vegetativo. \u00c8 indispensabile intervenire tutti gli anni sui rami lunghi, mantenendo invece quelli corti sui quali si manifester\u00e0 la fioritura dell'anno successivo. Greci e Romani ignoravano le doti medicamentose del biancospino: gli uni ne adornavano il capo delle spose per propiziare la fertilit\u00e0, gli altri le culle dei bimbi perch\u00e9 fossero allontanati gli spiriti malvagi.<\/p>\r\n Pianta usata singola o in gruppo, adatta per parchi e giardini.
