2025 Autumn Market Exhibitions: Green Events Across Italy
Here we are at the annual autumn event.
Autumn begins
The intense heat seems to be over, and the arrival of autumn will be gently ushered in by these events that allow us, for a couple more months, to pleasantly wander through places full of interest and purchase high-quality plants, soils, and soil improvers at excellent prices for our beloved outdoor green spaces.
Why? Because we love being outdoors even in the transitional period, because we desire to surround ourselves with beauty and fresh air, and because we have realized that time spent working, but also relaxing, in the garden is a source of inner and outer well-being.
What do we expect?
What can we expect from these events? Some are historic and have a well-oiled and well-functioning organizational machine, like Murabilia in Lucca or Autunno alla Landriana in Ardea (Rome). Others are in their first year and display the same fresh, vibrant energy, like Lungolago Fiorito in Verbania, which has a long history of garden events and competitions.
Where do they take place?
Then, of course, where they take place matters. They can be an excuse to stroll through ancient villages, such as Le Invasioni Botaniche in Cremona or the Giardini Estensi in Ferrara.
You can take advantage of them by drinking the beneficial sulfur waters in historic spas, such as the Terme in Fiore in Civitavecchia.
You can also visit private gardens usually closed to the public and open only during Interno Verde in Mantua and Parma (this year), or gardens that can be visited during the event, such as FLOReal Stupinigi (Turin).
Finally, it’s an opportunity to visit unique places like the Lavandeto di Assisi in Assisi or the Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence with its Urban Botanica.
Garden center celebrating
Finally, for a whole month, various Italian garden centers will be setting up shop to showcase and sell autumn wonders throughout Italy at the Garden Festival d’Autunno.
Due to the market exhibitions
You can even travel several kilometers, perhaps with friends or fellow flower club members to compare notes on the plants you’ve seen or the purchases you’ve made… and then return with your arms full of plants because the trunk is as full as your heart.
Everything we’ve told you above and much more is listed with all the specifics in the following lists divided by north, center, and south and in the PDFs you can download and print.

A couple of tips:
During these events, very useful meetings are also organized, full of essential information for plant growers. It’s a good idea to read the website or social media page first to see if there’s anything you’re interested in hearing and attending.
If you like a plant and it matches the characteristics you are looking for, get at least 3, always in odd numbers, arranging them in a quincunx and along a line, not in a circle.
If, during your visit, you see a plant you like but aren’t familiar with, ask the seller about its characteristics: they’ll be able to provide you with all the information you need.
If you decide to follow us throughout the year, you’ll learn a lot you can then use to buy plants for your own garden!
And if you’d like, you can visit the nearly 260 historic gardens scattered throughout Italy. Find all the information here.
Enjoy the viewing and have fun!!
Now, let’s get to work! The work awaits! Our wonderful new outdoor space is about to be born!
GOOD LUCK, and…if you have any questions, please email info@mondodelgiardino.com
