During the Festival “I Maestri del Paesaggio” in Bergamo, the Calvenzano Shared Orchard was presented, a new public park created thanks to PNRR funds. Born on an unused area, it offers inclusive spaces and fruit trees accessible to all. The project is an example for other administrations.
Talk: The Calvenzano Shared Orchard
The Calvenzano Shared Orchard is the first meeting among those organized by Arketipos on the occasion of the Festival ‘I Maestri del Paesaggio’ in Bergamo from 6 to 21 September.
The Calvenzano Shared Orchard: The Municipality
This small town of about 4000 inhabitants in the province of Bergamo, received money, unexpectedly arrived from a reimbursement and with the help of a PNRR project, in a public park.
They transformed an area resulting from the construction of a ring road at the entrance to the town, into a usable, inclusive space, also containing fruit trees available to those who want to pick fruit.
Il progetto
The project was carried out by a young but capable landscaper and built by a high-profile gardener who has been working in Bergamo for years with Landscape studies.
The winning team, which the enlightened Mayor managed to put together, resulted in this park of the future that is presented to you in these videos.
The Videos
We therefore report the complete meeting to understand how the park was conceived, designed and built and, below that, the only intervention of the Mayor for other public administrations that wished to follow his example.
We are sorry that the conference is only in Italian. We hope to be able to translate it in the future.
Now on horseback! Work awaits us! Our new wonderful outdoor space is about to be born!
GOOD WORK and… if you have any questions, write to info@mondodelgiardino.com
